Job Summary

Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fits and welds product to specification

Fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding technique

Will read a part print to weld basic products using GMAW and operate welding robots

May operate a forklift and assist in all areas of production as needed

Requirements / Skills

High school diploma or GED, preferred

Must be able to pass welding test for but joint single V groove weld in 1G position according to AWS

At least 1 year of experience, preferred

Ability to use measuring equipment

Ability to understand work orders

Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed

Preference

Ability to read shop drawings to weld basic products using GMAW

Basic knowledge of welding symbols and concepts

Ability to set-up a welding machine based on the Welding Procedure Specification for the job
