Summary of Responsibilities
Perform set up and operation of Elastomer Extruder Machinery for TAMCAP & LONGCAP elements and bladders, in order to prepare elastomeric parts required in the production of inflatable packers and downhole tools or other products offered to TAM customers and other clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements.
§ Secure the elastomer to be used per the drawing or S/O.
§ Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions.
§ Adjust control settings to regulate various machining factors such as speed and thickness.
§ Produce and gauge a variety of elastomer compounds.
§ Verify conformance of finished elastomer to ensure that it meets specifications.
§ Confer with production personnel, engineers or others to resolve elastomer or machinery issues.
§ Perform daily maintenance duties and/or notify supervisor of any equipment-related issues that may require attention.
§ Maintain clean and orderly work area.
§ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requires one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school or a minimum of 2 years related experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and equipment manuals, production reports and schedules. Ability give full attention when others are talking taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions at appropriate times and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Ability to legibly write and complete routine reports, logs or forms.
